Artist's Description
Color still life photograph of symbolic Greek theater masks for comedy and tragedy painted on a stucco wall with the late afternoon sun casting shadows filtering through the trees. The Hipstamatic app was used to create a soft focus and border to the picture. The two masks associated with drama represent the traditional generic division between comedy and tragedy. They are symbols of the ancient Greek Muses, Thalia and Melpomene. Thalia was the Muse of comedy (the laughing face), while Melpomene was the Muse of tragedy (the weeping face). About Craig Brewer
For over 20 years Craig Brewer was an advertising and editorial photographer working with ad agencies and editorial magazines shooting on assignment. Craig won many awards for his photography and later moved to California where he joined the Photographers Guild and shot production and advertising stills for television shows. Today Craig is concentrating on landscapes, still life photo illustration, and the world around him. Unlike a lot of other photographers who specialize in certain subjects, when you look at his various galleries you may notice that he is very eclectic in what he photographs.
